Botanicals, reimagined.

A speculative cinematic exploration inspired by Edinburgh Gin.
As someone who grew up in Edinburgh as the son of a publican, and later spent nearly two decades designing motion for global brands in London, it feels fitting that returning home would lead me back into the drinks world.
This film imagines a surreal origin story for Edinburgh Gin — a creative exploration of how flavour, craft and botanicals might form a world of their own. Crafted as a speculative short, it’s designed to show how immersive 3D storytelling can capture an audience’s attention in a fresh and imaginative way.
By exploring the flavours, atmosphere and essence of Edinburgh Gin, the piece demonstrates how a brand can be brought to life through cinematic world-building that feels both engaging and memorable. The approach is endlessly adaptable: whether it’s a different product universe, a new mood or an entirely original scene, this style of motion design allows any brand to tell its story with real impact.
With cinematic lighting, an atmospheric score, detailed 3D worldbuilding and premium product animation, the film transforms botanicals into a living, breathing universe — Botanicals, reimagined.
